Hi, my name is Mike Steele. I am a concept artist and illustrator from New Orleans Louisiana. I have a New indie comic called Alter boy that has just launched on kickstarter. Everyone who loves great science fiction adventure comics with quantum physics reference should check it out.

Alter boy is a sci-fi adventure thriller set in a near future dystopian society where undesirable human behavior is controlled by a pharmaceutical drug called Alterol. Alterol is marketed primarily as a behavior inhibitor. Behind closed doors it is speculated that Alterol is responsible for one in five human beings exhibiting some form of extra sensory ability. As a result a government agency was formed to identify and track these gifted persons.The  F.E.A.R. group as they are called, the Federal, Evolutionary, Assessment and Research group is intent on identifying the gifted so that they may be properly educated.The students  are then made permanent employees of the state. For their cooperation and primarily their silence their families are relocated and further supported by the government. Many who are gifted hide their abilities for fear of arrest and re-education.

What separates Alter boy from the rest of the gifted is that he has a particularly strong telekinetic ability that allows him to not only manipulate matter but the particles that compose matter and rearrange it into new forms.I dub this ability Quantum telekinesis. Being a kid he does what any kid would do. He gives life to his toys . Alter boy also has little brother, rude boy who has a physical handicap as a result of the drug Alterol.. He creates new toys for himself and his brother. In creating these toys and giving them life their behavior is sometimes unpredictable.  He creates things for his brother with the intention of protecting and comforting him , but the results are not what were intended.

The main characters in issue zero are Alter boy, his little brother rude boy, their Mother and her mafioso crimnalesque boyfriend, who is the main villain in issue zero. I had a great time making this comic and I am exited to share it with the world. It is full of cool art and story that will not disappoint.

Hi, my name is Scott McClenaghan.

I'm one of the writers for our self-published comic, Remnants. We describe it as a horror/street crime series somewhere between Sons of Anarchy and X-Files, written the way Tarantino would have done it.

Alex Williamson helped me write it and JM Ringuet has done the artwork and lettering.
